BIKE TO THE FUTURE


ONLY CURRENT TENANTS OF TORONTO COMMUNITY HOUSING ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR THIS PROGRAM.

A new training and career program by Toronto Community Housing, Access Alliance, and CultureLink.

There is a growing demand for workers with mechanic and riding skills as more people choose a bicycle for both transportation and recreation.

Jobs in this field include bicycle assembly, retail, community program worker, camp counsellor, and ride guides in the tourism industry.

Bike to the Future is a comprehensive 8-week paid program for youth (ages 15-28) that provides training and teaches basic bicycle mechanics and other hands-on skills that employers’ are looking for.

This program incorporates team building exercises, expert guest speakers, site visits, and individualized coaching sessions with an employment counsellor.

The next cohort begins November 29, 2021.

$16/hour, 28 hours (4 days) /week
