BIKE TO THE FUTURE


ONLY TENANTS (AGES 15-28) OF TORONTO COMMUNITY HOUSING ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR THIS PROGRAM.

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED.

There is a growing demand for workers with mechanic and riding skills as more people choose a bicycle for both transportation and recreation.

Jobs in this field include bicycle assembly, retail, community program worker, camp counsellor, and ride guides in the tourism industry.

Bike to the Future is a comprehensive 8-week paid internship program for youth (ages 15-28) that provides training and teaches basic bicycle mechanics and other hands-on skills that employers’ are looking for.

This program incorporates team building exercises, expert guest speakers, site visits, and individualized coaching sessions with an employment counsellor.

Only Toronto Community Housing tenants (ages 15-28) are eligible to apply.

Program runs January 31, 2022 to March 25, 2022.

$16/hour, 28 hours/week, (4 days a week, 9am-5pm)
