TCAT and Access Alliance win a Clean50 Award!

Congratulations to our Scarborough Cycles team for winning a Clean50 award last month, celebrating the impact the program has had in building bike culture beyond the downtown.

The Clean50 Awards are presented by the Delta Management Group to recognize projects that have made a sustainability impact across Canada. According to CEO Gavin Pitchford, ”Delta’s criteria in determining project awards is to carefully consider a combination of measurable impact, demonstrated innovation, and the project’s ability to inspire others to imitate it – and Community Bicycle Hubs completed by The Centre of Active Transportation at Clean Air Partnership and Access Alliance Multicultural Health and Community Services is a terrific example”.

On October 3, 2019, TCAT’s Nancy Smith Lea was amongst the 120 past and incoming Clean50 honourees attending the “Clean50 Summit 9.0”, to receive the award and spend a day amongst peers and colleagues tackling critical sustainability challenges facing Canada. We were honoured to be recognized alongside so many meaningful and impactful projects from across the country.
